Join us for an unforgettable weekend as we celebrate the 25th Anniversary of GKA DOJO in Barry, recognition to Mal Sanchez-Jones’s dedication to his community and the martial arts journey that has inspired so many.

This special event is a testament to the dojo’s humble beginnings—starting in a school hall after Mal’s departure from his previous association and its growth into a vibrant hub of martial arts training and community spirit.

Over the course of two inspiring days, we will welcome a distinguished lineup of professional instructors from across the UK, each bringing their unique expertise and discipline to our celebration. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of classes, whether you choose to attend one, two, or all sessions—you’re more than welcome regardless of your style, association, or ability level.

 Featured Instructors & Disciplines: Hanshi Marc Howes (Kyokushin Budokai) — Renowned for no BS approach and deep knowledge of traditional martial arts. He was Jon Blumings protege and successful author. Daniial & Kamil (Bear Wrestling) — Masters of this dynamic and intense combat sport. Mark ‘Spen’ Spencer (SBG Bradford) — Expert in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, ex pro MMA fighter and lead to KUDO in Yorkshire. Mal Sanchez-Jones (Kudo, Combat Sambo and Karate) — Founding figure of GKA DOJO, sharing decades of experience in mixed martial arts disciplines representing KIF, BSF, BCKA and IBK.

This event is open to all associations, styles, and ability levels, fostering a spirit of unity and shared passion for martial arts. Whether you’re a seasoned martial artist or a curious beginner, come and immerse yourself in a weekend of learning, training, and celebration.
